Hi Aylin, tell us a little about your background – where are you from?
Hello, I’m from Istanbul, Turkey. I began my career in Marketing with internships during my bachelor’s degree at Middle East Technical University in Sociology and Psychology, double degrees. After graduating in the top 5% of my class, I was selected for the Unilever Future Leaders Programme at Unilever out of 8.754 applicants. I worked in various sales and marketing functions at Unilever. During my Unilever Journey, I was offered to work at Beiersdorf as a Senior Key Account Executive. I managed the key accounts of the company and grew the business sustainably for 2 years. I think I love the challenge of being told ‘no’ by the customers and turning it into a ‘yes’ with a data-driven approach.
How did you get interested in marketing?
I worked in sales and account management roles for 5 years. I believe that a career in marketing is very exciting as the field is constantly evolving due to new platforms. It is extremely integrated with sales and my diverse background will help me to find more growth opportunities. I am always scoping out trends and connecting with our solutions to lead to more revenue.
When did you join NoFrixion and what do you do?
I joined NoFrixion’s Marketing & Strategy team in October 2021 as the Head of Marketing. As NoFrixion’s first marketing hire in 2021, my work immediately spanned from evolving our branding to running developer campaigns, writing posts on our blog, and polishing our website. Moreover, I am leading the expansion of our client base via strategic social selling skills to educate customers on the benefits of NoFrixion services. I always seek opportunities for growth to make sure that our customers are as successful as possible! Now I am working in the partnership team as the Head of Partnerships. Currently, I am wearing all of the hats in the team. I am trying to clarify customers’ objectives and challenges to find the best business solutions for their business. Having been given an insight into the company’s goals in relation to sales and marketing objectives during the interview process with NoFrixion, it was clear that that position would expand my comfort zone and make a real impact while being my unique self. I will have the opportunity to work with great people and tackle big challenges. Building future-proof payment solutions with Crypto Currencies also represents Nofrixion’s vision of early adopters of the future world. That makes me excited!
The challenges at Nofrixion are constantly changing, but I believe that it is also unique. NoFrixion’s audience is primarily developers and I had to unlearn a lot of the tone I’d picked up from working on marketing for consumers. It is a self-starter culture that directly fits my character. What I am most excited about are the opportunities that lie ahead to get better at my discipline and to work with an amazing team while doing so.
What excites you outside of your role?
Outside of my role, I love meditation and improving my skills via self-learning & training. I am trying to improve my data visualisation skills. I really enjoy travelling as well!

I can definitely say to be yourself, be authentic. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes. Try to learn as much as you can!
